We loved the apartment. It was gorgeous, had everything our family needed, and the whole place was kept pristine. The location’s spot on, right across from the beach but far enough outside town to get some downtime. It’s still an easy walk in. I’d recommend it 100%, and we’ll be back!
The beach was a real highlight, just a one minute walk away, and the pool was easy to get to. Our three nights at East on Byron Bay were relaxing and comfortable. The accommodation felt elegant, modern, and spacious for our family, with clean, fresh, well cared for beds and linen. The kitchen and BBQ area had everything we needed for family use, and the staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and supportive throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend the place.
The beach in front of the resort is beautiful, good for surfing or swimming, and the river is a short walk away for a SUP or kayak trip. There are restaurants within walking distance too, plus a great coffee stand at the entrance with a nice range of health focused snacks. It’s a lovely calm spot that feels a little tucked away. The beach is two minutes from the resort, then about an eight minute walk along it gets you to Byron’s main beach. You can walk farther to the lighthouse track as well. The pool’s a good size with plenty of room to lounge, and noise outside the apartment was barely noticeable. This is our default holiday spot from now on.
Our family of five had one of our best holidays at East on Byron. The kids spent hours across the road at Belongil beach, and spotting so many dolphins and whales was an extra treat. We also loved the accommodation, especially the huge open plan living area, extended balcony, and rooftop where the kids made forts while we watched the sunset. The pool area was unreal, and we had fun spotting birds and water dragons around the property. Treehouse Cafe next door was ideal for a morning coffee before the beach, with great food too. A relaxing, fun family trip. We’ll definitely be back!
Belongi beach was right across the street, and I spent most of my stay there. East on Byron was a great place to stay, but I wasn’t happy about the 10am checkout or being charged $60 to extend it to noon when no guests were arriving that day. I’ve never had to pay for a late checkout at any other place I’ve stayed. The rooms only had instant coffee, decaf pods, and hot chocolate. Instant coffee just doesn’t cut it!
