Discovery Parks - Byron Bay

We'd stayed at Discovery Byron Bay before and thought the amenities needed some TLC. After a while away, we came back to see if things had improved, and what a difference. The staff were so friendly and happy to help with anything. I was especially impressed by the hospitality and the extras around the park: food trucks, a Kombi Bar serving locally brewed drinks, a Gelato Bar for dessert, and bikes to hire. The park is kept very clean, and staff walk around smiling and ready to help. It feels completely different from our earlier stays. I highly recommend Discovery Byron Bay. The best part for little kids is how much room there is to roam. Ours could spend ages doing scooter laps on the internal roads, then head to the pool and water park. There’s a tennis court too, and little lakes around the grounds make for a peaceful stroll. We stayed in a basic two bedroom cabin. It was clean, and the bathroom and shower were spotless with excellent water pressure. The rooms were plain and small: our son had double bunks and a little nightstand, with hardly any space left, and our room was just as simple, with bare white walls. There are plenty of free communal BBQs, though you do need to clean up after yourself. The park is just outside Byron, with options from yurts and cabins to powered caravan and campervan sites. It’s not a luxury resort, but it works well as a relaxed family base. Ours went from scooters to swimming to BBQs, and then a welcome quiet once the kids were in bed.

The fountains outside our deluxe lakeside cabin are so calming, and the cabin sits right over the water. We’re back for our second stay and couldn’t be happier. It’s a lovely family spot, with pools, a water park, and other activities, and the prices are really good. Byron is close enough to bike into for sightseeing. Love it. 🥰

We had a great time at Discovery Parks Byron Bay. Kirsty and Katie were so helpful when I had car trouble, and everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. We’d definitely stay again.
