On the Beach Holiday Apartments

We’ve stayed here several times and find it good value, with ocean views from every room. The apartments are clean, though how recently they’ve been renovated varies. The Vasey building is right on the beach, mostly has one-bedroom apartments, and is just steps from the sand. The second building sits behind it, but its higher position gives even better ocean views; most apartments there have two bedrooms. Both buildings are three storeys with no lifts, so stairs may be an issue. There’s plenty of private off-street parking included with the booking. Kitchens are basic but work well, and we always enjoy the shower window that looks through the apartment to the ocean. The resort Wi-Fi isn’t great. Mobile coverage by the beachfront is poor too: our Optus-based service wasn’t quite enough for streaming, though it was okay for work.

The view was insanely good, and we didn’t mind the bit of a hill because the walk was good exercise. We absolutely loved the place and its awesome vibe. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were easygoing and helpful. We’d happily stay in the same room again.

You’re right across from the beach here, and it’s close enough to walk to the cafés and restaurants. The rooms could use a bit more work and attention to detail, but for the price I was pretty happy. They have everything you need.

Our two-bedroom ocean-view apartment was spacious, very clean and great value. We’ll be back.
