Childers Budget Accommodation

We tried the cheaper option for our night in Childers, and the room was comfortable with everything we needed. It was quieter than I expected, considering how close it is to the highway. The accommodation matched what I’d gathered from the reviews and its clear budget motel description.

That rural outlook at the back is a real highlight, especially around sundown. Parking is plentiful and, best of all, right by the room door. The rooms are spacious and the hosts are friendly. It’s an easy walk into town for food or a drink, and to see the historic sights and get a feel for Childers. The inn sits on the Bruce Highway at the edge of the CBD, in a handy spot for getting in and out of town. Its promise of clean, comfortable, affordable rooms feels honest. It’s a very comfy three (3) star place, and I’d recommend it for an overnight stay in charming Childers.

The huge fridge and freezer were a pleasant surprise, and the bed was super comfy. The rooms are spacious and absolutely spotless, with no dust. Goy does beautiful work as housekeeper. Rachel at reception was a fantastic source of information about places to visit in Qld, especially useful since we’re from interstate. Peggy, the owner, was a pleasure to speak with on the phone and was so polite, friendly and helpful with our bookings. The rooms are amazing. The whole place made such a strong first impression that, after travelling all over Australia, I’d put this among the best motels I’ve stayed in. It’s only a two minute drive to Childers for shopping, pubs and clubs with great meals, and other shops. I’ll recommend Childers Budget Accommodation as the motel to choose when travelling. It’s my new “Home away from Home” ❤️❤️
