Black Diamond Lodge

A real gem for Bibbulmun Track hikers and Munda Biddi riders. There’s a shared kitchen with complimentary tea, coffee, juice, milk, toast and spreads, plus a free washing machine in the shared laundry. You can hang out indoors or outside, and there are bike racks. Rooms are clean and have a TV and mini fridge. They even provide a robe so you can wash everything, yourself included. Staff are great, helpful and friendly.

Great host and a fully equipped kitchen. The place is easy to get to on the main road, and the slay space was a nice extra I haven’t come across at many places. I’d recommend booking here with confidence if you’re visiting Collie. Awesome place.

The shared bathrooms and walls that don’t fully block sound are reflected in the price, but most guests are hikers, mountain bikers or workers and seem to sleep soundly. The place itself feels welcoming and homely, with lovely decor and thoughtful touches. Bed sheets and towels are soft, showers are hot, and everything is very clean. There’s a beautiful flowering garden and a large, well equipped, friendly kitchen. Comfortable and hospitable, too.

We cooked breakfast one morning in the beautifully decorated, clean kitchen, and it’s an easy walk to all the eateries. The little shop next door has great salad rolls. I spent two days mountain bike riding in Collie and couldn’t fault my stay at Black Diamond Lodge. The courtyard decor outside each room gives the place a lovely, chilled feel. I was unsure about sharing a bathroom, but you can lock it so the shower or toilet is just for you. The shower pressure was great. Highly recommend.
