The housekeeping was the main disappointment. Although it was included in our booking, it only meant fresh towels, rubbish removal, and refills of dishwasher and laundry detergent. There was no actual cleaning unless you paid an extra $40, and the room had no cleaning supplies, so it felt more like an Airbnb than a resort. We still had a good stay at Rhapsody Resort. Our high-floor room had an amazing ocean view, and early check-in was much appreciated. Reception staff were consistently kind and professional. The room was basic, but the dishwasher, washer and dryer were very convenient. It did feel a bit worn, with large cracks in the bathroom walls and some mould in the grout. Great location and views, plus friendly staff, but the stay felt more basic than I expected from a resort.

The room was spotless and roomy, and having a washer and dryer in it was a real bonus. We were close to the beach flags, with Surfers Paradise's main area an easy five-minute walk away, but far enough out that the noise didn't carry. Parking felt secure, though the spaces seemed a bit tight for bigger cars. I'd happily stay again next time I'm in Surfers Paradise.

The only thing keeping the room from a full five stars was a mouldy smell from the dishwasher. Apart from that, we loved the apartment, its location and the amenities. The balconies and terrace were great, and the gym is on the 27th floor. Make sure you try the pool at night. Thanks for a perfect stay, Rhapsody Apartments.

We felt safe staying here, and the apartment had a comfortable bed, a great shower, two TVs, and space to sit and eat or watch TV. Underground parking was good too. The ocean view from our one-bedroom apartment was partly blocked by a neighbouring high-rise construction site, and the usual building noise made spending time on the balcony during the day difficult. We had booked a week hoping for a relaxing beach holiday, so that was a shock. The apartment had what we needed, but the appliances were very worn, and the microwave buttons had worn away so it couldn't be operated.

The staff and hotel management were so friendly, helpful and quick to respond. Everything from the room security and facilities to parking, location and surroundings made our stay feel great. I spent seven days here with my 12-year-old daughter, and it worked well for us. Really, it seems suited to families, solo travellers, just about anyone. We're booking again for a longer holiday.
