We got a good night’s sleep after a quick bite at the nearby Grafton Hotel, and woke refreshed enough to get back on the road. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom a little dated but perfectly adequate. We were travelling from Tamworth to the Gold Coast and stopped overnight in Grafton. The motel is handy to the route and close to town, with a large Shopping Centre and places to eat nearby. We hadn’t booked ahead and were worn out from a difficult drive through fog and rain, so I was relieved to be checked in quickly. The person at reception was welcoming and friendly. I’d definitely recommend the Grafton Central Hotel.

We felt safe walking around, with cafes, restaurants, and the shopping centre close by. Sanket, the manager, and the team were really friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. Our room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with good beds, a smart TV, microwave, fridge, kettle, and cutlery. The bathroom was spotless as well and had plenty of towels and napkins. A very comfortable and convenient stay for the price. We had a wonderful time at Grafton Central motel and would highly recommend it.

The room was clean and check-in was straightforward, but the noise made it very hard to sleep. There was constant banging, shouting between the upstairs units, and a loud whistling sound that may have been plumbing. After an eight-hour drive, I couldn’t settle my baby. The pillows were high and firm, with no other option, so I had to sleep upright. The beds only had very thin microfleece blankets and it was freezing. The aircon remote was broken, and the temperature wouldn’t go above or below 20 degrees. There wasn’t a smart TV either. I paid $414 for two nights and honestly felt I’d have been better off in my SUV on the side of the road. I would’ve been warmer, felt safer, and even with the seats reclined, been more comfortable.

Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff were kind and helpful whenever I had a question. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and they made sure things were going smoothly during my stay. From the moment I arrived, the place felt welcoming and comfortable. I had a great experience and thought it was very good value. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere clean and comfortable.
