We had a pleasant stopover in the cottage, in a nice location with all the listed facilities and a comfortable bed. I did miss having thicker towels, though. The ones supplied were very thin.

The hosts were kind, friendly and helpful, and the apartment is in a great spot just behind the historic main street. Inside, it was spacious and immaculately clean, with everything needed for either a short or longer stay. The bedding and towels felt luxurious, and there were thoughtful little touches. Thank you!

The Old Telegraph Station has been brought back to life as a fully functioning building with a modern purpose, while preserving its historic beauty and memories. The inside feels like new, with warmth throughout, and the booking was easy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about Gulgong, Mudgee and the Central West, NSW Area. There’s on-site parking, and you’re close to the Main street, supermarket, coffee shops, post office next door and pubs. If you’re staying in Gulgong, this is the accommodation I’d choose. The town was a gold town many years ago and even appeared on the AU$10-00 note. If it’s your first time in the country and you’re heading west, look no further. A visit to the hill [Lookout] is a must.

Gulgong is small these days, but there are plenty of interesting places to see. We had a lovely stay in the beautifully restored telegraph station building, which I can’t recommend enough. I’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here once before and it was first rate then too. This time, a fresh slice had been left ready for us when we arrived. The place was spotless, comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed, including a two plate gas cooktop, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge area had a dining table, a lounge and two lounge chairs, and the separate bedroom was furnished to suit the building. The spacious bathroom has a modern design and is top rate. There’s no WiFi supplied, so we used our mobile phone hotspots.
