Pavillions

There were 9 of us, and there was so much room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. The views and location might be the best on Hamilton Island. From our airport greeting to the pickup on departure, we enjoyed every minute. Everything’s set up for a self-sufficient stay. Bring fresh food and drinks from the impressive IGA and you’ll want for nothing. Do yourself a favour and book this amazing place!

What a spot. The views are spectacular every day, and the place opens right up to the marina outlook. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a plunge pool or spa, and it comes with a buggy. If you’re with a group, book another buggy in advance. The apartments are great, and it’s a short walk to IGA, plus about 10 minutes to the bakery, fish n chips, ice cream shop, tavern and more. You can walk over to the beach on the left for a swim, which is much better for actual swimming than catseye beach. The downsides: the spa isn’t heated and gets no sun, so it’s cold all the time. The crows are loud and annoying, and the airport is extremely close. Still an awesome spot.

The unit has lots going for it: a great location, plenty of space, doors that open up to bring the outside in, and a well-appointed kitchen. But it’s very tired and needs maintenance. The kitchen chairs have worn holes, pool tiles are coming off, the oven was dirty and the general clean before we arrived wasn’t good. There was only one lounger by the pool for sunbathing. For the price, it just wasn’t worth it. We were really disappointed, as we’d come to celebrate 25 years of marriage and take our adult daughters away.

The apartments were lovely, with great views. It was quiet and peaceful.
