Morgans by the Sea

We stayed in the two-bedroom flat. It was clean, well appointed and looked like it had a recent cosmetic upgrade, with a very well equipped little kitchen. The location was excellent, close to the best little coffee shop, tidal pool and jetty. From our first enquiry through booking, check-in and check-out, we couldn't fault the motel. The staff were all friendly, greeted us with smiles and gave great tourist advice. We've fallen in love with the island and are already planning to return.

Across the road from the tidal pool, with amazing ocean views, and there wasn't a single thing to complain about. The place was perfectly clean and comfortable, with lovely staff, luxurious beds, plenty of parking and great water pressure. What a find. This gorgeous mid-century modern motel was an absolute delight, cute, romantic and retro. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The staff were really friendly, and the place was clean, beautifully styled and newly renovated. It's right by the ocean and an easy walk to restaurants. A few more shelves or hooks would help. Unfortunately, although we paid at reception, the card was charged a second time. The hotel corrected the duplicate charge straight away, before we even told them, but international bank fees came through for both the mistaken charge and its correction.

The location was handy and close to everything, and the air conditioner worked well and quietly. Our garden view room was nicely styled, but the advertised garden photo was a bit misleading: the outlook is mostly the rear carport and street, and isn't very appealing. The building is old, with poor construction quality and acoustics. Neither the front awning nor the bathroom windows opened, which would have helped with airflow. One double bed had a good mattress, the other was old and poor. The kitchenette was small and the fridge freezer compartment was frosted over. A little pricey for what you get.
