I especially love the Broadwater at dusk. It’s a lovely time to unwind with a beer or glass of wine while the sun sets and the lights come on in Surfers Paradise. The location makes it easy to walk to restaurants and cafes. Mornings are great too: you can watch the sunrise over the water, hear the birds, and see the beautiful pelicans being fed at Charis Seafood at 1pm, just a short walk away. On Thursday afternoons, the yachts glide past, and the direct Seaway makes for amazing views. These are amazing apartments, and a wonderful place to experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Beaconlea. The apartment was spotless and roomy, the views were stunning, and check-in was easy. The location made it simple to walk to everything. Thanks so much, we’re already looking forward to coming back 😊

The apartment was spacious, with comfortable beds, good water pressure in the shower, and convenient parking. We also enjoyed the pool and the breezes, and there are restaurants and coffee nearby. Charis Seafood is about a five-minute walk for fresh fish, and the 704 bus connects to the tram in Southport. The second-floor unit could use more cookware, especially salad and microwave bowls. There’s no air conditioning in the bedrooms, which was fine with the fans below 30 degrees but wouldn’t be comfortable above that. The road gets really noisy during holidays and high season, and the e-bikes and scooters on the footpaths outside were a nightmare. Better window coverings would help with the glare. I’d ask for a higher-floor unit.

The kitchen was well equipped, and the lounge had a nice smart TV and air conditioning. Chin, the manager, tried his best, but the owners need to sort out things for their guests. The ensuite had no door, the bedroom ceiling fans didn’t work, and the showers were smaller than a phone booth, so a romantic shower for two was out of the question. There was also an inconsiderate speedboat owner racing close to shore at 6:30 in the morning.

The manager was rude. We were in Apartment 30 and complained about mildew in the shower, mould on the torn curtains, broken crockery, windows you couldn’t see through, and a bed as hard as the floor. He said the curtains weren’t his problem and told me to clean the shower myself or stay somewhere else. There was blood on the pillowcase, or there was no pillowcase, and he said they were spares.
