DO NOT STAY HERE! The owners need to learn how to speak to customers. The place looked nothing like the photos, and the showers were filthy and covered in mould. The pool was unusable and riddled with mould too. The property had no power for three hours. When we asked for a refund so our group could find somewhere else, they hung up on us.

STAY AWAY!!! This place looks nothing like the photos. There was mould in the showers, and the pool seemed unsafe, with black water. When we asked for a refund so we could find somewhere else, the owner was very aggressive.

We travelled with friends and stayed one night, which was enough. The room was basic, with mould around the shower edges, and our friends' unit had a strong cigarette smell. The whole complex needs maintenance, and it's on a busy road. The price was cheap, though, so you get what you pay for.

After a 17-hour drive, arriving at cool palms motel was a relief. Ben, the Manager, greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel very welcome. He was accommodating and had a great personality that made us feel at home. It's a simple motel, not a big Best western, but our room was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping did a magnificent job. We had a super-comfy bed, huge smart TV, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, kitchenette, ensuite, dining room and chairs. There's also a well-maintained swimming pool. The motel is right on the A1 and convenient to everything. We slept really well and recharged. Will definitely stay again.

The room did the job for one night. It was easy to find and get into, and the staff were nice when we arrived, though we didn't interact much after that. The towels and sheets seemed clean, but the cleaning was basic, with a lot of dust built up on top of the air con. The shower had no pressure, and being near a hospital meant hearing sirens often, which wasn't ideal.
