Club Wyndham Dunsborough, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The beach was nearby and lovely for a walk, and the staff were really friendly. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well, so we had no problems during our stay. We were on the second floor and even had a Kings Skink come up to hang out on our balcony. The pool looked very nice, though we didn’t use it.

The location is fabulous, right by the Indian Ocean, with pristine sandy beaches. Dunsborough Town is close, as are the vineyards, breweries and art galleries around the South West of Western Australia. We stayed in a deluxe one bedroom unit with very large rooms, a double balcony overlooking the garden and everything fully equipped. The staff were fantastic and always helpful, ready to please. Highly recommended.

The pool was out of use for repairs, but nothing about this appeared on the booking channels and there wasn’t even an apology. There were three boxes of rubbish by our room door for over 36hrs. The hotel has just one laundry for everyone, with a single washing machine and dryer. It’s beside a busy road, so traffic noise was almost constant, and the room insulation was poor enough that we could hear most of what was happening in the apartments on either side. Check-in took twice as long as a usual hotel check-in because we had to listen to a sales pitch about handing over $$$$ to join a club. I can’t recommend staying here.

The room design was nice, but the poor sound insulation made for a very restless night, in my opinion. Early in the morning we could hear road noise, footsteps upstairs and doors slamming. There’s a large gap under each door that lets truck noise and insects in. The hotel should invest in door snakes or door lips to close those gaps.
