Coming back was an easy choice after my earlier stay, and so far this visit feels comfortable and well set up for the price, especially for a city location. Jigar at reception deserves a mention for being professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. He made arrival smooth and stress-free. These are just my first impressions, but the place seems well worth staying at.

My boss had stayed here and recommended it, so I came all the way from Miami to try Confort Apartments Melbourne Central. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the easy check-in and helpful, friendly staff made me feel at home. The location is right in the city, with shops, restaurants, public transport, and major attractions all within walking distance. I thought it was excellent value and would gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting Melbourne.
There’s a good sized room and the mattress was comfortable, and the front desk staff were friendly. But the elevator smelled like a public toilet, and the hallways had an unpleasant, odd smell. The bathroom needs work too: the door wouldn’t shut because the frame was rotting, and the shower over the bath was tiny and very high to step in and out of. There was no hand soap by the basin, so I had to reach over the bath to use the dispenser. The pillows were terrible, bring your own. Powerpoints behind the bedhead were hard to reach, so I left my phone on the kitchen bench and had to trust I’d hear the alarm. There’s no soundproofing either, I could clearly hear delivery people talking outside. With good food and activities nearby, the place has potential, but it needs renovations.
The staff are what made the place feel like home, always helpful and smiling. Mrs Vrishty even found me a pickleball spot and called ahead to check that guests could play. Her boss was also great and clearly wanted guests to be happy and comfortable. I spent 12 nights here while enjoying the Australian Open, and the location worked well, with all kinds of transport nearby and St Kilda beach about 20 minutes away by tram. Theatres, comedy, musicals, high-end shops like Rolex, AP and Gucci, supermarkets, and restaurants are all within walking distance. I loved the value and will be back for the AO 2027, hopefully for at least two weeks.
The stay fell short of what I expected from a 4-star hotel. The room wasn't properly cleaned, the shower pressure was so weak I couldn't wash my hair properly, and the toilet's half-flush button didn't work. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and made sleeping difficult, while the sheets were squeaky and uncomfortable. There was no on-site parking either, and paying extra to park nearby was inconvenient.
