We had another fantastic long weekend at Hotel Sorrento and are already looking forward to returning. We’ve stayed here for many years, and it remains our preferred place whenever we visit the Mornington Peninsula. This time we were in one of the new Coastal Suites. It was spacious, beautifully appointed and had wonderful views. We’ve tried many rooms over the years and would certainly recommend these new suites. At dinner, the food was high quality and the service attentive, as usual. We also enjoyed the atmosphere in the Front Bar and Cocktail Lounge. The hospitality stood out from the moment we arrived. Anna gave us a warm welcome, and Michelle helped with our reservation and chose a lovely room for us. Nikita has consistently gone above and beyond over the years to find us a great room at good value, whatever the season. On the King's Birthday long weekend, he happened to meet us while we were waiting for our room and invited us into the new lounge for a welcome drink. That personal touch means a lot to us and is rare in hotels. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Sorrento and the management team. Hany & Mary

The rooms are beautiful and modern, and dinner in the dining room is a must. We ate delicious food and got friendly, quick service, even with the Friday night crowd. The outdoor pool isn’t heated, so it’s not much use in colder months, but it would be great in warmer weather. Highly recommend.

Shihuishi is a must. The san choy bow was fresh and full of flavour, the duck pancakes were incredible, the chicken pot stickers were delicious, and the fried rice was the best I’ve had, with perfect texture and a lovely wok-char flavour. The stay at Hotel Sorrento was amazing. Our room was spotless and stunning, and the staff were among the friendliest I’ve met, warm and genuinely attentive. Breakfast was included and such a treat: the best scrambled eggs I’ve had in ages, plus an almond latte made just right. The pool deck was lovely, especially with the half-price spritz happy hour. Friday snacks at the Front Bar, beautiful weather, lovely guests and rooftop yoga with Brooke rounded it all out. I can’t fault a thing. We’ll absolutely be back!

We had a beautiful stay at Hotel Sorrento. The renovated lobby bar served exceptional drinks, and the whole place felt relaxed but refined, with lovely views and thoughtful details. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived.

We had a fabulous lunch, and Henry is a real draw at this venue. He showed what genuine hospitality looks like, which can be hard to find. He also made sure my needs and questions were taken care of. Keep up the great service, Henry. I’d happily recommend your hotel for a meal.
