Little River Bed & Breakfast

Tanya was friendly, quick to respond and helpful. The hotel next door is also very welcoming and serves incredible food. I loved the main room, with its little shared kitchen and pool table. The building and rooms have so much character, and it was amazing to stay somewhere tied to local history with such modern bathrooms and facilities. I was here for a couple of nights.

The old farmhouse is quaint and rural, and the room we booked was clean and nicely decorated. This rustic B&B is on the outskirts of Melbourne, and the original farmhouse was used as a set in Mad Max. The pub next door is basic, but the beer is cold and the people are friendly. The nearby train is a bit noisy, though manageable. Our jet bathtub didn’t work, or maybe I couldn’t work it, but it was still a nice deep bath. Breakfast was minimal but perfectly acceptable. People live behind, attached to the property. We didn’t meet the owners, though we arrived late. We had a nice stay and would recommend it.

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the rooms had coffee machines. It was clean, quiet and had a lovely homely feel. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the early continental breakfast was handy. The homestead is gorgeous, with all its character. Highly recommend this great B&B.

We loved the old-world charm, and the bathroom was awesome. The room had gorgeous furniture and the place was clean and tidy. We were travelling west to east with two dogs and stayed on the 8th and 9th of November. Finding the room on the first night was a little complicated, but once we got there, it was great. It’s a bit farther from the city centres, which means it’s quiet, and we liked being halfway between Melbourne and Geelong.
