We had a great location and comfortable room, but the service didn't feel welcoming. My husband and I arrived early and told the woman at the desk we were checking in that day. At other hotels, staff have asked for our details and checked whether the room was ready. She only told us check-in was at 2. When I asked about parking, she said it was full and offered no other options. She didn't offer to hold our bags or suggest the attached bar or cafe while we waited. Hours later, when we checked in, she asked if we'd stored our luggage. For a Hilton boutique hotel, I expected a more inviting welcome. It felt more like a nicer serviced apartment than a hotel. We were there for our wedding anniversary, so the experience left a lot to be desired. I'd consider coming back if the rates were favourable. Edit: @Motley Hotel, the reservation was under my husband's name. I left feedback directly with Hilton using their form and can provide more information if needed.

Room 309 was quiet even during a busy period, with a spacious, comfy bed that made it easy to sleep in. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, and having that option made things simple. Anastasia and a well-run team took care of everything we needed. The Motley Hotel, Tapestry Collection is fun and vibrant, well placed for local eateries, sporting events and the city centre. The attached restaurant had some great options, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spotless, quiet and comfortable, and the hotel made a good base for exploring Melbourne. Trams stop right out front, so getting to the MCG or CBD was quick and easy. The restaurant's hours are very limited, which made it hard to use, and reception is often unattended after 9 pm. Coming back in the evening could make the place feel a bit empty and cold.

Bridge Road is a great spot for this sleek, modern hotel with an artsy feel. It was quiet, and the little bar and cafe attached are great. My room was spotless and the bed really comfortable. The one problem was the climate control: the A/C kept clicking strangely and woke me up, so I eventually switched it off. The noise stopped then. Highly recommend.

After a five-hour drive, I got there just before midnight. I'd booked a room and a parking spot, but they hadn't reserved the spot. I tried to sort something out, but the staff, including Jess, were extremely rude and unhelpful, saying it wasn't their problem. I was left out on the street and wandered around Melbourne until I found somewhere else. I've stayed at Hiltons in at least ten different countries, and this was the worst experience I've had. It doesn't feel like the level of service Hilton should provide. I'm shocked, and I won't come back.
