Lakeview Retreat Metung

It was peaceful and quiet, with lovely short walking trails along Lake King. Metung village and Lakes Entrance were only a short drive away, which suited us perfectly. Our family of three stayed five nights at Lakeview Retreat. The place was extremely clean and beautifully presented, and it felt like home. Wow was our first reaction when we arrived at Lakeview Retreat Metung. It’s one of the cutest, cleanest, nicest short stays we’ve booked. The place is comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, and beautifully designed and styled. The welcome treats were such a lovely touch. Paula and Jason are wonderful hosts. Paula made everything easy, from booking to check-in, sharing the details we needed ahead of arrival. She’s a thoughtful host, and the house was well stocked, including a starter breakfast kit of local produce. We loved the kids’ bedroom and sitting on the patio with a cuppa, where we saw an Echidna, Rabbits, and lots of birds. The property is tastefully done, with amenities to match, and sits in a really quiet, standout location. It was a relaxing stay, with easy access to Metung, Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale, and nearby places. We thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return.

We loved the wildlife around the property, including a friendly wombat and echidnas, and the short walk to beautiful sunset views over the water. Paula has made Lakeview Retreat feel special, with local produce and picturesque surroundings. There’s what you need for a stay, plus a generous breakfast supply of tasty jams, bread, honey, and the most amazing butter.
