The big ski storage and drying rooms were a real plus, especially for wet gear, and it was convenient to return to the hotel during a day on the mountain. The location is about as good as it gets, though that's what you're paying for. The rooms are tiny and have no refrigerator, shampoo, or TV. The place itself feels more like a motel.
The gentleman at reception was especially kind and helpful, and the whole staff gave us excellent service during our stay at the Mount Buller Central Hotel. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone.
We got to check in at 12:30pm, which was a lovely surprise, and the staff were great throughout. Being right in the middle of the village made the location hard to beat. The room was good, with warm, comfortable beds. A mini fridge would have made it perfect. The walls are thin, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. We had a wonderful stay.
Stuart was bloody awesome. I don't know whether he owns or manages the place, but he was welcoming, answered all my questions, and even let us check out later. It's right in the middle of Buller, and everything was clean and tidy. I do wish the rooms had a TV and a fan to move the air around. I'll definitely stay here from now on 🤘🏽
The ski and drying rooms were handy, the bed was very comfy, and the staff were super friendly. The hotel is right by the village and close to everything you need on the mountain. The only downside was the thin walls, since we could hear our neighbours quite well. Still a great experience.
