I was there as a guest for a BNI breakfast meeting, so I didn’t stay and can’t comment on the rooms. The full blackbutt breakfast was tasty and, at $22, good value in my book.

The dining experience at the Hotel was excellent, with very generous portions, and Karen and the staff were a huge help. Even during a busy time of year, they handled our requests without a problem, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. The rooms and ensuites at the Blackbutt Inn were spotless, with comfortable beds. Although the accommodation is above the Hotel, neither its noise nor the passing traffic disturbed our sleep. Best Western Blackbutt Inn is in a village with a variety of food and drink outlets, and it’s very handy to John Hunter Hospital.

The beds were comfy, and there’s a park along with plenty of food and other shops within a 500 metre radius. It’s also a great spot for John Hunter. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the service was amazing!

We ate at the restaurant on both nights and found the meals delicious and good value. The staff were exceptional, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

We stayed for three weeks straight and had a great time. The food and pub downstairs were a big plus, and the rooms and room service were great too. Staff were super friendly and easy to talk to whenever we had a question. Definitely recommend it if you’re staying in Newcastle.
