Nimbin Rox YHA

Waking up in the caravan camping area among the trees, especially facing the beautiful Willow, felt like heaven to me. I was drawn to the koi pond, and the communal spaces have a really funky feel. It’s a great spot to ground yourself, close to town, with kind, friendly and helpful people around. Thanks for having us, Casper.

The campsite has an amazing view from the top of the hill, and the whole hostel is clean and relaxed, with friendly staff and easygoing people. It’s the best hostel I’ve stayed at so far in Australia. I booked for one night and ended up staying three days. There’s free WI-FI too. If you want somewhere cool to chill out in Nimbin for a couple of days, this is it.

For a city person, sitting in the swinging egg chair with a cold beer and a book, surrounded by peaceful scenery, felt like good medicine for the soul. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, but this feels more like a hotel. The owners clearly put a lot of time and effort into making guests’ stays great. It’s a special place, so do yourself a favour and visit. Thanks again, guys and girls.

The road up to the hostel is very bumpy, so take care with your car. Once there, it’s a clean, tidy and relaxing hidden paradise with tremendous views and very nice service. We visited in autumn, and I imagine summer here is unreal.
