Lincoln Downs Resort Batemans Bay

We'd stayed here once before, a few years ago, and the quality has definitely slipped since then. This time the bathroom cleanliness was questionable and it needed a proper clean. The bedroom was okay, but the TV kept disconnecting from Chromecast, one of the advertised room perks. The pillows could use an upgrade. We stayed in a king spa room both times.

The lake setting was scenic, and the facilities were good. We stayed one night while on a driving holiday. The rooms were okay, but cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Management should train staff to clean rooms properly or move them on, as it reflects poorly on them.

The manager was nice and upgraded our room, and the staff were pleasant enough, but the place is nowhere near a resort or 4 stars. The photos on the site are very deceiving. Our room was below average and smelled foul. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, the countertops were dirty, and there was just 1 spoon. The "family room" had no kitchenette, and although there was a kettle, we had to fill it in the bathtub because the bathroom sink was too small. The restaurant was closed when we visited, and we were told cereal was the only breakfast option. The pool area wasn't clean either.

The resort is stunning, with spacious, clean rooms. Staff have gone out of their way to help with whatever we've needed and have been very accommodating. We're very happy with our stay so far, and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Batemans Bay.
