For a surprise 20th anniversary, my husband booked us this place, and I was so happy he chose somewhere with old charm and lots of history. We’d stayed once before, but the cheerful manager’s big smiles still made us feel at home, and another team member from Thailand made us feel just as welcome the next morning. Check-in was smooth. The bedsheets were clean, the bed was comfy, and the towels were bright and fresh. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Perth.

The location is wonderful, but the room condition was appalling. Room 109A and the property were so dirty that, if cleanliness is next to godliness, they must be in hell’s dungeons. The air conditioning unit looked ancient, and parking was abysmal. You can hear a pin drop in the rooms next door, not to mention upstairs. Don’t stay here if you’re concerned about your car being there in the morning.

The room was decent, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and it felt safe and secure. The location is excellent, food is easy to find nearby, and you can walk to Swan River in 10 minutes. I stayed 5 nights, but my bedsheet wasn’t touched or changed the whole time. I’m paying a daily rate, and hopefully sheets would be changed daily if 5 different people stayed one night each. Apart from that, it’s a decent place to stay.

The room was simple but neat and tidy, and there’s parking on site, though not much for the number of rooms. The location between Perth City and Fremantle makes this good value for money. We’ll certainly stay here again. Joe and Alida Fitzpatrick.

The room was clean apart from some paper scraps and paperclips left on the floor. The staff were nice, but parking is limited and getting a larger vehicle into a spot is almost impossible.
