Parmelia Hilton Perth

I've switched over to staying at Hilton hotels now. The rooms were awesome, and the executive lounge was useful with good service. We had one little problem in the room one night, but the staff sorted it quickly, which deserves a mention. Handy for getting around, yet peaceful ✌️

Samuels on Mill had a great breakfast buffet, and I tried their take on a Big Mac for lunch too. Yum. After exploring my own city and the surrounding area on those glorious January days, it was lovely to cool off by the pool. I had a staycation at the Parmelia Hilton after trying another hotel last January. That one was nice, but not as nice as the Hilton. From check-in onward the service was first class. The concierge messaged to see how things were going, and my king room looked out over King's Park. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

Our week is nearly over, and we're sad to leave. I worked in this kind of hotel in the 80s, so I know what it takes to keep up full service at this level. Every staff member we dealt with was fantastic, even helping with breakfast when we had early starts. We arrived to an upgrade to a king bed, and the restaurant food is amazing. The hotel feels updated to modern standards, and I was shocked when the concierge said the building was 50 years old. The hospitality and service impressed us right from arrival. It's a rare find these days, and we'll definitely be back. We loved the experience. Thank you all for the hard work and dedication.

Breakfast was great, thanks to the lovely older man who looked after us and brought fresh pressed juice. The bar staff were amazing too, and Dustin took care of us from the bar through to the restaurant. He even arranged a complimentary tiramisu after we raised the issue, though it was very sweet. The rest of the service was ordinary. Desk service wasn't great, and being a Gold member felt no different from Silver. None of the complimentary drinks were served, and we only got a bottle of water at checkout. The restaurant was a no go: the pasta was overcooked to the point of breaking into small pieces, and the snapper was horrible and bland, with sauce and greens that didn't make sense together. Front desk and restaurant service need a lot of improvement.
