Melaleuca Caravan Park

The wild bunnies kept our 4 yr old entertained, and they even fed a few, so bring carrots. The pool stayed at a perfect temperature and its lovely blue water was hard to resist, even on windy days. Kids enjoyed the slide too. We found the other families pleasant, with no noisy nights or rowdy crowds. Maybe that's because there aren't just tent sites, and it worked well for this location. Our one-bedroom cabin suited two adults and one child, though four could fit; I'd suggest a two-bedroom cabin for more than three. The verandah was handy for morning coffee and hanging clothes. We also appreciated the central location for day trips, the friendly, helpful staff who answered our tourist questions, and the welcome we got. The aircon was already running when we arrived, and Aldi next door meant we didn't need to bring groceries. I'd read the Google reviews and had doubts, but giving it a go was well worth it.

The park's good value, with clean, tidy grounds, good amenities and excellent customer service. It's not large, but the camp kitchen is welcoming and well set up. There's a lovely pool and a children's play area, too. Port Macquarie and the beaches are only a short drive away. We'd definitely come back.

Aldi next door was useful for picking up small supplies, and the location was quiet. The cabin was clean and spacious, with everything we needed in the cupboards, good air conditioning and great shower pressure. We arrived early and were taken care of straight away, with a very quick check-in. The staff were respectful and courteous, and upgraded us at no extra cost.

A lovely warm welcome made us feel at home. It's a quiet camp with a cool pool and water slide. The BBQ and kitchen are beside the pool, so you can cook while keeping an eye on the kids. What a gem!
