Simone and her son were so friendly and welcoming, and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great stay. The gardens are beautiful, and the accommodation is worth every dollar. It was spotless and well maintained, with everything we needed: microwave, plates, utensils, tea and coffee, plus the most comfortable bed. The whole experience was fantastic and beyond what we expected. Simone, thank you for the best stay we’ve ever had in Tassie. I’d recommend the Barricks without hesitation. You’ll be glad you did.

Richmond worked perfectly as a base for exploring southern Tasmania. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Simone was accommodating from the first booking right through our six-night stay.

We stayed in Lady Esther at Richmond Barracks for Dark Mofo, and the accommodation was great. There’s a huge amount of space over two levels and the kitchen is brilliantly equipped. Simone was an amazing host, nothing was too much trouble. The cutest town, with lovely shops and cafes, is just a four-minute walk away. The pub food was great and it’s open seven days a week. The IGA supermarket is good too. We couldn’t fault the place. Thank you, Simone!
