The service was friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome. Between two of us, the watermelon salad with prosciutto was a generous, flavourful serving. The okonomiyaki potatoes we had as an entree were delicious and took me back to the streets of Tokyo. Their cheeseburger is elite, and has won awards. It had a great balance, and the toasted, slightly crunchy bun added a nice touch. The chefs know what they’re doing, and I’d highly recommend this pub for a meal in the Southern Highlands. Thanks for a memorable dinner.

The ceremony space at the back of the pub worked really well for us. It meant we could invite extra people to the ceremony without stretching our reception budget. The room suited our 60 reception guests, and the food was wonderful. We heard lots of compliments from guests, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Sophie managed everything so well on the day. From our first enquiry, the team were professional, courteous, thorough and approachable. Holly guided us confidently through a clear, simple planning process and helped shape an event to fit our needs, budget and guest list. We were lucky to have our wedding at Robertson Public House and Kitchen. Highly recommended!

The falafel burger was deeply disappointing. Its patty was wafer-thin and flavourless, with only lettuce and one and a half cherry tomatoes as garnish. I’d have had a better falafel across the road at the kebab shop. The chef should put more effort into the vegetarian menu. Blazingly ordinary at best. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere felt unique, like a small town and close community.

The prawn hotpot was deeply disappointing, tasteless and swimming in oil, with just one piece of bread. I was so hungry that I had no choice but to eat it, but for $30 it was nothing like what I expected from a hotpot. The prawns looked like they’d been thawed from frozen. The pumpkin ravioli was oily too. I’d consider going to the fish and chips shop instead of having so much oil on my plate. I won’t come back. I was so excited to visit Robertson, but the food here was bad. I think the chef needs to check these dishes. They tasted awful.

We ordered four small plates to share between two and couldn’t finish them all. The menu was interesting and the food was really well executed. On a wet, cold day like ours, the fireplace made the meal even more enjoyable. Such a great place with excellent food.
