Coffee House Apartment Motel

The on-site Café was the highlight! It’s a short walk into the city, and our stay at the Coffee House Apartment Motel was lovely. The accommodation was comfortable and well appointed. My room was clean and spacious, with all the modern amenities you could need.

The handy CBD location may suit you, but expect possible sirens from the nearby Police station. We stayed four nights. The room was roomy, the bed comfy, and the tiled floor was a plus if you dislike old, dirty carpet. It was clean, though the bathroom is showing its age, as is the room generally. The TV was adequate, and the split AC avoided annoying duct noise. The bar fridge was tiny, with no ice tray or ice machine around, and the Wi-Fi was very slow. For a place called “The Coffee House,” I expected more than instant coffee, perhaps a pod machine, but there wasn’t one. Parking is off street and somewhat secure, though definitely not secure, and spaces are tight for larger vehicles. The kitchen was closed for renovation when I visited, so I can’t comment on the food. Three and a half stars, definitely not four.

We had an amazing breakfast at the cafe, so yummy. Our room was lovely and clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was quiet despite being in the city centre, and the shower pressure was amazing. We also made good use of the washer and dryer in our room. We’ll come back next time we stop in Rocky.

The sheets were stained, and the bins hadn’t been emptied before we arrived, which left us seriously concerned about cleanliness. We also found the room was missing basic items, including pillows and towels. When we asked for them, the manager was rude and unprofessional. One morning, the manager banged on our door and woke us abruptly, which was incredibly unsettling. A very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
