Quality Hotel Regent Rockhampton

The peaceful atmosphere made this a lovely place for a quick two-night getaway, and we loved every minute. Our room was exceptionally clean, stocked with what we needed, and had comfortable beds. The cleaning team left fresh towels the next morning, which we appreciated. Check-in was incredibly quick and easy, with very friendly staff. The building is beautiful, with well-kept gardens and a small but lovely pool. Our room had convenient street access by both the nearby elevator and stairs. Road noise wasn't an issue despite the hotel's position right on the street, and the free parking at the side of the building was handy. We'll book again soon.

The customer service was awful. TINA was rude and hung up on my wife three times. I called back to ask her name, and she replied, "What do you want?" People like this shouldn't be in hospitality. Something needs to be done, or the business may not have any customers left. When I booked online, everything seemed fine, and it still seemed okay when I arrived. Then I found the door was broken, and after 9 o'clock I had to use a side entrance. The air conditioning was very loud. Breakfast was supposedly included, but when I went to eat, I was told it wasn't. I also left early without getting a receipt, so I asked for one. I've stayed in hotels around the world and never been treated so badly. End of rant.

We'd read some reviews and arrived a little apprehensive. My partner had booked a night while we were driving from Airlie Beach to Noosa, and our experience turned out to be all good. The room was large, tidy, and clean, with a very nice big bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the minibar, tea, and coffee were well stocked. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. We ate at the hotel: I had the Sri Lankan chicken curry, the best meal of our two-week trip, and my partner's lamb was tender and thoroughly enjoyable. The owner came by to check that each guest was enjoying the food and their stay. He was friendly and engaging. Thank you.

I still haven't received my receipt. Tina was rude and hung up on me three times when I asked for it by email. First she said she couldn't send one and that I had to go through booking.com, then hung up. I contacted the property through booking.com and called again. Tina then said she needed me to email my address so she could copy and paste it, and hung up again. I'd already emailed the property, so my email address should have been there. How hard is it? Complete incompetence.
