Englewood Ridge

The pool got plenty of use and was amazing, and the hosts gave us restaurant ideas that helped us find some great places to visit. The house in Lovedale had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The hosts were fantastic, and their little touches made us feel very welcome. We’re already planning another trip, you won’t be disappointed with this accommodation.

Mike was a thoughtful host and made sure we were looked after. The house stayed comfortable in both hot and cooler weather, and the pool was great for cooling off. Adults enjoyed the deck and its view, with kangaroos right at our doorstep. There was plenty of room for our pets to run around too, and the fenced area kept them close. The kitchen had every utensil we could think of. Having two living rooms with TVs was handy when the adults and kids wanted separate space. The air conditioning in those rooms was absolutely essential on days when temperatures were in the high 30s.

The booking was easy, and Mike kept in touch well before we arrived. The house is only minutes from the Hunter wineries, with one right next door, but it’s far enough away to feel peaceful. The valley view behind the house was amazing and especially tranquil at sunset. We were nine women there for a 30th birthday weekend, and the two living areas and BBQ space meant everyone could do their own thing. Three bathrooms were a plus, and the kitchen was so well equipped we couldn’t think of anything else it needed. I’d recommend it for a large group looking for a getaway close to the wineries. We’ll definitely be back.

Mike went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Thanks to him and Louise for welcoming us into their home. Englewood Ridge and the surrounding grounds were immaculate, which made for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. We were impressed with everything and would gladly return if we get the chance. I’d highly recommend Englewood Ridge to people I know.
