Maude St Apartments

Good value and a handy spot, within walking distance of the Town Centre, Victoria Lake Reserve and Skatepark, Aquamoves Swimming Pool and the Art Museum. There’s no Wi-Fi, which wasn’t a big deal but is useful to know. A few hoons drove past the Apartments at night on Friday and Saturday, though it didn’t spoil the experience. We’d happily stay again.

The location is great and the accommodation is a good size for an extended stay. I’d only come back if cleanliness improved by 100%. The carpet is putrid, the shower floor and walls had mould that I had to clean before we’d use it, and the dishes were dirty in the cupboard. The bathroom basin is partly blocked and mouldy, and the walls had obvious splashes and stains. The towels were clean but badly and permanently stained, and all the cleaning products were empty. The oven and microwave both need a thorough clean.

I always stop here on my way through to S.A. I love having a washer-dryer combo in each unit, though unfortunately the price has gone through the roof.

We had everything we needed for our overnight trip for a family funeral. The apartment was roomy and well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the towels were soft and fluffy. It was clean too.
