The room was large, with clean towels and sheets, plus a microwave, kettle, fridge, and toaster. But I only booked at the last minute, and the place was in rough shape: broken light fittings, stained carpet, and curtains barely hanging up. Flies and bugs were everywhere, even in the curtain lining and shower cubicle. I had to get bug spray from Aldi. I hope there were no bed bugs. The shower grout was black too. It might do if you really, really need somewhere to stop.

For the price, this was a great place to stay. I had to change my travel plans late because of circumstances on my part, then made a late booking at 11:30 pm. The owner manager at their other Swan Hill Motel, which was full, got in touch and sorted it out so I wasn't left stranded. Late checkout was a bonus. Nice people run this and the Pioneer. 😀👍

I was utterly disappointed. The facilities can be old, but they can't be filthy. I had never had to clean a hotel's bathroom myself before I could use it. This seems more suited to travelling pickers and farm workers than the general public, and shouldn't be advertised for everyone.

Absolutely hideous. The place looked closed and derelict, and I truly don't know how it's still open. It was filthy, with cockroaches scurrying around the rooms and used soap left in the shower base. Just foul. It should be called the sleazy river motor inn. Don't do it!

We needed somewhere to stay halfway through an overnight trip. The linen was fresh, but the room was freezing. The air conditioner was so noisy we turned it off. There was a cupboard, but no shelves or hangers. I wouldn't recommend it unless it was your last resort.
