Swan Hill Resort

The room had a good king-size bed, and everything in it worked, which was a nice surprise. We also liked having the option to order from partner restaurants and pay through the resort. There’s a pool, BBQ, sauna, gym and massage/spa area, and Pioneer activities are a short walk away. BP and Maccas are across the road. We had a great stay and would come back.

We slept brilliantly, and it was very quiet even though we weren’t in a room away from the road. Town and the Pioneer Settlement were an easy walk away. My daughter, Miss 7, got to use the indoor pool while the outdoor one was being cleaned. I stayed here a couple of summers about 30 years ago, so the pool and games room show their age, though some work is being done. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great shower, but there were a few long black hairs in the bathroom.

The honeymoon suite was well presented, but I’m not sure it was great. In Room 38..spar, the ironing board was scorched. The iron leaked water while I was using it; management offered to iron my shirt, but there was no replacement iron. The spa pump wasn’t working either, though a patient man came and fixed it. There were no coffee pods, and when I called, I was told to buy some at Coles and hope they’d fit the machine. The bins outside were full of rubbish, and leaves were blocking the doorway. I called about both, and management took out the rubbish and swept the entrance. I’d said staff could do it the next day since it was late and they’d gone home.

We got a great night's sleep, thanks to a very comfortable bed. The room was spotless and fresh, with no bad smell, and it suited us perfectly for a one-night visit. We were really impressed and would recommend it for a short stay.
