The shared laundry, with a washer and dryer, came in very handy, and the location was central, about four minutes from Echo Point and the Scenic World Stations. Inside, the kitchen was bright and well equipped, the bedrooms were an adequate size, and both the beds and sofa bed were comfortable. The bathroom was also a decent size, with a bathtub shower. The manager responded quickly. Sound carries through the shared walls, so I wouldn't recommend the flats for families with young kids or a big group that likes to chat and laugh. We arrived at 7 pm, and by 8:30 our neighbour had complained and threatened to contact the manager. I called the manager first and asked them to speak with the neighbour and get them to stop whinging and be accommodating. Some things needed more attention: the windows could use a thorough clean, as there were cobwebs and dead insects, and the bedroom lights could be brighter. In one tallboy drawer we found underwear that may have belonged to previous guests, which I expected housekeeping to remove before check-in. The bathroom shower curtain also needs cleaning or replacing.

Everything was well stocked, with every utensil we needed, and it all worked. The rooms were big and kept us warm through some very cold, windy nights. We spent three nights at Elizabeth Flats and it felt like a home away from home. We had an amazing holiday, and we'll definitely recommend it and come back. Thank you, Jenny! The art deco style gives the flats lots of character, and the location is peaceful while still close to the town centre and local attractions. We stayed in flat 1, a two-bedroom place with a dining room, lounge, and bathroom with underfloor heating. It was very clean, and every room had more than enough heat. I'd book it again if we get the chance to return to the blue mountains.

We went to a wedding at The Carrington and were all able to walk there. Elizabeth Flats is in a quiet, pleasant street, but still within walking distance of Katoomba's main streets. The flats are roomy, fully equipped, and affordable. If we visit Katoomba again, we'd stay there.
