Punthill Norwest

The stay itself was fine, but the checkout left a bad taste. A relative stayed there for a few months, costing around $15,000 in total. On the last day, we asked for a two-hour late checkout and were explicitly told it was fine. I was then charged without warning. When reception says yes to a late checkout, people understand that to mean it’s free. I called head office and was told the fee would be waived, but I was still charged.

Service at Punthill Hotel Norwest was poor throughout, and it made the stay thoroughly unpleasant. Staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful. Requests were either ignored or took a long time, so even simple issues became frustrating. Communication was unclear and unprofessional, and I felt like an inconvenience instead of a guest they cared about. For a hotel presenting itself as a quality place to stay, that lack of basic care and attention to detail was surprising and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation.

This is my second stay, and I’ve always been happy with the service. The staff are very accommodating, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It’s also close to the Metro Station, Coles grocery store and Hillsong Church. One suggestion for the hotel: please have a weighing scale available for guests to use. That’s important for travellers.

I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment to visit my son, who lives nearby, and it was great value. I cooked meals, did laundry and slept well. The apartment was bright, clean and had everything the listing said it would. Staff were friendly and helpful, and Norwest shops and Norwest Metro are both a short walk away. I recommend booking through the Punthill website for the best value. I’ll stay here again for sure.
