Crescent Motel

The only thing I liked was the comfortable bed. We couldn't face staying a second night, and I wouldn't describe Cresent Motel as Taree's best, despite the sign out front. The website photos didn't seem accurate, and I'd bring antiseptic wipes. These motor inns can sometimes house people going through homelessness or hard times, so all sorts of things may have happened in the rooms. The motel isn't within walking distance of a pub or restaurant. The front screen door had a bit of gaffer tape serving as a handle. The air conditioner looked decades old and rattled so much I worried it might come out of the wall. I wasn't sure the air it blew was safe to breathe. All the units share a rear patio, with people walking through at all hours. We heard yelling and screams close to our door. The bathroom was tiny. I'm not a big person, but the handle hit me twice, as did the basin. There was no cleaning service. The carpet had stains, and I could feel grit under my feet. Who knows what was in it. I don't know what the other places in Taree are like, but I'd leave this one behind.

The room was a pretty standard motel setup, a bit worn and ready for an update. Still, the sheets and towels were clean, and the bed was really comfortable. That huge shower head stood out too. I'd stay again, around 6.5 out of 10.

The river walk into town was great, and the manager was excellent. We had a very comfortable Deluxe Queen Room with a microwave, cutlery, crockery, water glasses, and ice in the fridge. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable for the price. A really good motel.

I came back today after staying here a few months ago. It's a great stop for reps, with a friendly manager who's always happy to accommodate. I like these people and will keep staying here whenever I'm in Taree. The motel is comfortable, the bed is good, and the room has a microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge. There's also a big screen TV with Google, so I can use all my streaming services.
