Tocumwal Golf Resort

We stayed for three nights. Great place to play golf, and the food was very good.

Staff were excellent whenever we dealt with them, but we weren't told there'd be no room service during our three night stay. There was supposedly a notice in the room about servicing, but we couldn't find one. The bathroom notice said clean towels were in the cupboard, but there weren't any. When we contacted staff, they told us to chase up the “girls” for towels. Towels and a hair dryer were eventually delivered, though there was no hair dryer in the unit to begin with. Several things in the unit were broken: the chair's were uncomfortable to sit on, the unit beside the bed didn't work, the toilet seat was broken, and the towel rail was broken too. The outside table was too filthy to use, and the outside area looked like it hadn't been cleaned for ages, so that couldn't be used either. We've stayed many times before and loved it, but we won't be coming back. Three nights cost $420.

The rooms were clean, and the clubrooms meals were good. Very good.

At $155 a night, having no room service was a big letdown. We had to go to the office whenever we needed more supplies, and I think the website should have made that clear. Sorry, but not good enough. The room size and decor were reasonable, but there were several problems. The toilet was dirty, with dried poo in the bowl. There was no hair dryer until we asked for one, and the TV had to be replaced because it didn't work. Two of the three dining chairs had snapped, loose cushion straps, so we used our bedroom pillows to sit on them. Cutlery was limited to two of each, and there was no sink drying rack.
