The Hideaway Cabarita Beach

The wildlife was easy to enjoy from a tent, without worrying about snakes or needing to pee in the bush. We slept to the waves on Cabarita Beach and woke to birdsong. On the way to the spotless lavatory one morning, we met the resident bush turkey, "No Beak," who most likely had his beak beaten off in a fight. When we wanted food, we took a short walk to the shopping strip for some pretty decent coffee and something to eat instead of foraging or hunting. It was a cool way to camp without dealing with the elements. We had good family time in the dimly lit, air-conditioned tent, occasionally getting ice cold water from the mini bar fridge. The kitchen was fully equipped, with a good range of instant tea and coffee bags and tables and chairs to lounge around. The wifi was good enough to keep us connected to civilisation. The luggage trolleys were a great idea and showed the operators’ attention to detail.

The beach is nearby, and it’s easy to find a good cafeteria around here. We had a lot of fun, and all the staff were always friendly and helpful. The glamping area was very clean, with a heater, fan and mini air conditioning even in winter.

Noice!! Different!! The establishment was well run and conveniently placed, with friendly staff and premises that were cleaned and checked often. I enjoyed the experience, though it won’t turn me into a camper. For a more comfortable stay, a few extra hooks and perhaps some heating in the amenities block would be nice. Otherwise, thanks for two memorable nights.

The village feel, clean spacious accommodation and friendly hosts made for an enjoyable stay. We could set our own pace, sit by the fire with a wine or spend time in the chill out room, where books and games were provided. It’s a great location at Caba for a relaxing family getaway, and the glamping experience is a unique one. Linen, towels, bathroom products and basic kitchen condiments and tools were all provided. The hosts made us feel welcome.
