The children have plenty of room to run around in the paddock, play on the swings and explore outside. They also loved meeting the friendly rescue animals, one of the highlights of our stay. The staff are amazing, so welcoming, understanding and ready to help. From arrival, we felt comfortable and well looked after. The peaceful property and beautiful scenery make it a relaxing place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to town for supplies or activities. The cabins are cosy, clean and comfortable, with what we needed, and waking up to the views is a treat. The sunsets are breathtaking, a lovely end to the day. We’re enjoying our stay and would happily come back. A great choice for a family getaway or a quiet chance to unwind in nature.

Farmer Zach made our visit such a fun family experience. He was welcoming, knew his stuff and was especially great with the kids, making sure they could join in, felt comfortable and had fun. Getting close to the animals in the relaxed, hands-on farm setting made for a memorable day. We’ll definitely be back at Tarnasey Farm, especially with young kids.
We came to feed the animals for the morning with our 3.5yo, though we didn’t stay at the farm. Kiera welcomed us so kindly, and we all had a great time. Our son loved it, and my husband and I enjoyed it too. A lovely, interactive way to spend a morning.
The host was so accommodating with our kids during the animal feeding experience, and they had a great time. Put this on your list of things to do on the copper coast. Bring aeroguard for the flies.
We booked two nights in the Schillings Shack cabin at Tarnesy Farm. It was clean and comfortable, though it’s a farm stay at a very affordable price, so don’t expect luxury. The complimentary fruit and eggs were a nice touch, and our child loved the farm tour. There were a few small insects, as you’d expect on a farm. We didn’t get the welcome message because it went to the wrong number, and our phone line was down at check-in so we couldn’t call. If that happens, calling them is better than going to the residence. We’d definitely visit again.
