Anglers Inn

Ice cold beer in ice cold glasses, exactly as it should be. The desserts were a surprise too, both delicious and very affordable. We went on schnitzel night during the New Year holiday period, and even with the place busy, the staff handled the rush cheerfully. Every meal was cooked properly, with no fancy extras, just good food made with care. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, especially with a member card, and the kids’ meals were such good value we could hardly resist ordering a few. We’d have happily spent more at Angler’s Inn and returned, but we had to leave town. Next time!

The staff were wonderful, but one of our meals arrived half an hour after everyone else’s. Nobody apologised, and it felt like this delay was treated as normal. There aren’t many vegan options in town, but venues shouldn’t count on that bringing people back when the kitchen service falls short.

Book ahead if you want lunch or dinner, or you might miss out. The bistro food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and nice. I’d recommend staying here.

Dinner portions are generous, so don’t have a big lunch if you’re booked in. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I went with my sister, who lives locally, and wished she’d told me about this pub sooner. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Wallaroo. Update: Can’t wait for my sister’s birthday party there on the 21st of March.
