My booking had 'disappeared' from booking.com by the time I arrived, and I was put in the spare room with 2 single beds because the accommodation was double booked. Not the romantic getaway with my fiance I’d planned. I’d booked six months ahead, though I had to change the dates, and Colin confirmed the dates I requested by email. We tried to find somewhere else, but had no choice. The visitor centre said this wasn’t the first time it had happened. After the week went on and I talked to others, I started to believe it was done on purpose to get double payment. When leaving, I negotiated the price down to $300 a night, which was outrageous given the circumstances. I was to pay when I got back to Perth. At 3pm, after arriving at 1am that morning, I got a threatening phone call saying the money hadn’t reached his account and I had 'better pay, you understand'. I’m very unhappy with how I was treated. Colin should think about his booking habits and how he speaks to people, which is why I’m writing this review.
