The people were amazing, really welcoming if you’re social and say hi. The hostel has a great vibe, and I was only there for a few days, but I’ll be back for a longer stay sometime. It’s the first hostel I’ve actually been sad to leave. The rooms have private cubicles, which makes living here long term feel much more doable than at most places I’ve stayed. They’re pretty warm, though, so I’m not sure how comfortable they’d be in summer. The bathrooms were clean, the kitchen spacious and the common areas huge. Book direct, it’s cheaper, and the owner and staff are great.

A perfect place to stay while doing your working holiday visa over here. It feels like a little community. Even if you’re just sleeping here for a day, it feels like visiting your big sister in her dorm.

There’s a big common area, and the rooms are small but cosy. The kitchen is pretty small too and was a little dirty when we were there, but it was still a good stay overall. Great hostel, and the staff were really nice.

We planned to stay four nights but left after one. It was extremely dirty: there was dirty linen, cockroaches, dust all around my bed, dead bugs lying around, and blood on the bedroom floor leading to the hallway that no one cleaned during our whole 24h there. The mattress felt like steel bars, and my whole body ached when I woke up. There’s no air conditioning, just two small fans in a room of eight people, so it was insanely hot with no air circulation. I felt so nauseous before bed, and the room smelled of old sweat. The common areas and kitchen were pretty grim too. When we told the staff we wanted to leave, they didn’t offer a refund for the nights we’d miss and weren’t very friendly. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.
