The little extras made our stay so comfortable, and we had a great time. Paula and Stephan were wonderful hosts, with a really comfy bed and a brilliant shower. Such a lovely B&B. We’d suggest staying at least two nights so you can enjoy York and the surrounding area. Thanks to you both!

The breakfast was superb, and the shower was excellent. Our room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and extremely clean. Stephen and Paula were so warm and friendly that they made us feel more like family than guests. My wife and I have stayed in guest houses in The U.K., Canada, the United States, and southwest WA, and this one, Avon Terrace Guest House in the heart of York, is the best we’ve experienced. A stay we’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommended.

The free breakfast and morning coffee were amazing. Our room was tidy and the beds were really comfortable. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The owners even got breakfast ready early because I had a bike race to attend at 7:30 am. Their care and thoughtfulness felt more personal than anywhere else I’ve stayed around the world. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and quiet, with walk-in robes and a large bathroom. There’s a lovely sitting room decorated with Flying 50 memorabilia, plus a fantastic spa on the deck. Avon Terrace Guest House sits right in the centre of York, making it a perfect base for exploring town. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend, and thanks for such a wonderful stay.

Paula and Stephen made us feel very welcome throughout our lovely two night stay. The room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated with such attention to detail, and Stephen’s breakfasts were scrumptious. We loved the whole experience at this beautiful property and would highly recommend it to others. Jenny and Richard (Perth WA).
