Auroom Hotel Baku

We booked four rooms while travelling through from Shadag, and every one smelled of cigarette smoke. The rooms were much smaller than the pictures suggested. At check-in, we also asked about an extra room. When I found that it smelled of smoke too, I returned the keys and said we didn’t want it. At checkout the next day, they insisted we pay for it. We were rushing to catch our flight, and I felt the guy had scammed us. When I asked for a senior contact, he refused to provide one. The front desk guy Ali was super rude, with “no” seeming to be his only answer. Breakfast was cold, and they wouldn’t bring anything fresh and hot. The location looks good on a map, but the road is always jammed and many taxis refuse to come there. It was our first visit to Baku, where we found people warm and welcoming, so this was one of the most horrible experiences of the trip. I’d avoid this place if you don’t want your holiday spoiled.

Breakfast had a great range of delicious dishes and was a highlight for the whole family. The hotel is also well placed for exploring Baku. Our rooms were spotless, tidy, comfortable, and had all the essentials. The housekeeping team were attentive, polite, and kind. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and always willing to help. A special thank you to Mr. Ayan for making us feel so welcome and supported. We had a wonderful family holiday here and would definitely stay again.

We spent about seven nights here over New Year, and it was a very good stay. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was satisfactory. Ayxan, Ali, and Qurban were consistently helpful whenever we needed anything. Two restaurants opposite the hotel serve Middle Eastern, Asian, and Georgian cuisine. Grocery shops and supermarkets are roughly an 8-10 minute walk away. Nizami Street is about a 10-13 minute drive or around a 30-minute walk. I’d recommend the hotel.

I brought tourists here as their tour guide, and the manager lady was so sweet and kind. In my five years of guiding, I haven’t come across this sort of kindness often, since hotels can sometimes be unfriendly. The manager lady and the guy at reception were both lovely, and it showed in how they carried themselves too. They don’t know I’m writing this, but if you see this, manager lady, you’re the best in this business. Keep it up, and may God protect you.
