The management was extremely cooperative, and the rates were quite reasonable. The hotel is in a very peaceful spot, close to Nizami Street but away from the noise and crowds around the market.

The entrance is confusing because it’s shared with another hotel. After the door shuts, the staff here don’t respond to the bell, at least around 10pm when I tried. I had to call staff at the other hotel to get the door opened. Mr. Fahad felt really un-professional to me. If you bring a partner to your room for a short while, he rushes up and takes 20AZN. If you don’t have cash, he won’t leave. Even when he’s off duty, he comes in as soon as he arrives and takes the money. It felt a little like extortion. Of all the staff, Mr. Emil was the only one I found professional and decent.

Farhad made sure we were comfortable and helped us with our luggage, which was especially kind since there’s no elevator. We had a good stay, and the location is the best part, close to everything. The hotel is quite old and needs maintenance, though it didn’t bother us much since we mainly used the room to sleep and bathe. Renovations are underway, so I’m sure it’ll look brand new in the coming months. :)

The room was roomy and newly renovated, though some work was still going on. It had the basics we needed, including water, tea, a hairdryer, and an iron. The location also made getting around easy, with Nizami Street nearby, Baku Old City about seven minutes away, and the Boulevard and Carpet Museum within walking distance. Francois and Ali were so helpful, from arranging an early check-in to helping me plan my itinerary. Their kindness made the stay convenient and memorable. I had a great experience.
