The price was good, the room was spacious, and it’s very close to the old town. The street is crowded, though, so don’t plan on driving in and parking there. There’s no air conditioning, and with the single window open there was still no airflow. One side opens outside and the other onto the stairwell. Noise carried everywhere: I could hear coughing in the stairwell, doors shutting, and the room two doors away all night. The shower flooded the whole bathroom, and the shower towels were about the size of floor mats. There weren’t any hangers in the wardrobe.

I only know the budget single room, not the standard rooms. I’m happy with it as a place to sleep: it’s small but more than adequate, and a private room costs about 50% more than a dorm bed. I prefer a budget stay with a great location. The staff are very friendly and speak excellent English. Last time I parked my motorbike on the sidewalk outside, but the street was full of cars on this visit, so they let me use the garage. The area was heavily affected by the war, so ask them about their stories.

Getting inside requires a code, so you’ll need to call the hotel when you arrive. There’s no one at the front desk. It’s a good hotel, in a fantastic location, and very good value for money.

The location is excellent and the price is easy on the budget. I found the staff helpful when I arrived to a wet blanket and bed cover, and they replaced them. The rooms are dated and could use a deep clean, and there’s no air conditioning. Fine for a short, inexpensive stay of a night or two.
