The location was the only real positive. The rooms were clean, and the hotel answered our questions quickly, but didn’t offer a good solution. We’d booked two rooms on the ground floor. One had no outside window and was very dark and airless; from the other outside window, you couldn’t see anything. Both rooms had an unbearable smell. When we raised it, the hotel said we got what was shown in the booking photos, but the smell wasn’t something you could see or avoid. They offered to move one of us for the final day only, which was pointless. There was no refrigerator, which my friend needed for insulin injections, and the shower didn’t work properly. There’s no reception, either, so if someone leaves the outdoor lock open, that creates a safety risk. Unfortunately, one of my worst hotel experiences.

This is a top spot if you just need somewhere simple to crash, relax, and sleep. It’s definitely not a five-star hotel for anyone expecting that, but the location in Sarajevo couldn’t be better. The Irish Pub is within 2 meters, and there’s a supermarket, church, mosque, hairdresser, great restaurants, and tour offices all within 200 meters. A very friendly family looks after the place and is always around to help and offer nice tips. Just like last time, we had a wonderful stay. We came for the New Year's holiday, and the location was really good. It was uncomfortable that they turned off the heating system in the evenings :-(
