Garni Hotel Konak

We only stayed two nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The beds were comfortable, and the room felt super cozy. Reception was very helpful and hospitable. If we come back to Sarajevo, we’ll book this hotel again.

The family running the hotel were so welcoming and kind. We stayed for two nights in a roomy, very clean room, and breakfast was okay. The location is great, just one street up from baščarsija.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was friendly, and the location is great. What bothered me was the extra 5% charge for paying by credit card. It wasn't disclosed in the information and only came up after I had booked. They also convert the Euro price to Bosnian marks at a rate that works in their favor. That kind of nickel-and-diming feels poor for a city-centre hotel.

The staff were very friendly and spoke good English, and I enjoyed my stay. The walk-in price was clearly higher than the 'Booking' rate. The hotel is right on the main road into the old part of the city, so you can hear the street car at night in rooms facing the street. Still, it's very central in Old Sarajewo and just two steps from the worst of the tourist bustle. The rooms are small but up to a good standard. Thanks!
