Hotel Studio23

Despite being right in the middle of the city, the hotel was remarkably quiet. I could even hear birds in the morning. Breakfast was included, with a buffet that changed from day to day, and there was also a restaurant that delivered food to the room. A large hall with a buffet area can be used for parties or events, and the suite came with good internet. The first impression at Hotel studio23 was the tasteful foyer and welcoming entrance. The reception team were friendly and cooperative, as were the other staff I met. They could arrange an Uber or print documents. The building felt clean throughout, including the elevators, and the gate at 23/3/2 west Tejturi bazaar, Karwaan Bazaar, almost opposite the WASA building, is closed at night for security. Our double suite had a connecting door, which suited our longer stay. The bed had fresh linen, and the room included a luggage rack, work table, small fridge, electric kettle, wardrobe with a locker, and enough tableware for tea and coffee. The split AC worked well, and there was a TV with several channels. Daily room service cleaned the room, changed linens, replenished necessities, and checked the appliances. In the spotless bathroom, the shower was behind glass, the fittings were clean, and there were plenty of fresh towels, soap, and body wash. I'm grateful to the owners, Epic Properties Ltd., for their thoughtful work to make the hotel a success. Feeling safe and secure matters a lot when visiting Dhaka, and the management made a strong effort on that front. Mr. Abu Sufiyan brought in ideas from places he'd visited around the world, which I thought were the best ideas. I'm also grateful to Mr. Selim Alamgir for doing his best to run the operation, and to Mr. Nikhilesh and the others for their steady efforts. The committee and staff made this a wonderful experience. For a hotel listed as three stars, this place deserves more, maybe four. The rooms were clean, the amenities exceeded what I expected, and the front desk team were great. When I wanted sweets for my new guests' house, a staff member came with me and helped me get them from the location I wanted. They also arranged shuttle service to and from the airport. It was my first trip to Dhaka, and I booked here because family live nearby. The hotel is brand new and the service is great. I strongly recommend it.

They handed over the key and took my payment, then the receptionist suddenly said my partner's face didn't match her NID. I offered to provide my birth certificate or a copy of my parents' NID, but they still weren't convinced. I respect their security policy, and I understand that documentation requirements should apply equally to everyone. The problem is that they should check all documents before taking payment and confirm whether someone is eligible to stay. If the papers don't meet their requirements, they should say so first. Telling us only after taking the money and giving the key was unethical. If they expect guests to act ethically and honestly, they should do the same. I respect the policy, but their conduct was not good.

We had booked three rooms for the whole family, but while we were staying there, the hotel booked one of those same rooms for another client without telling us. Staff were rude, poorly mannered, and seemed to have no idea how to treat guests. They welcome you with a smile, then you find out what they're really like. My family and I had come back late from the hospital and were asleep when they called someone to tell us to leave. I've stayed at many hotels in Dhaka and never expected this from a so-called four-star hotel. Very disappointing. If you can put up with unpredictable, rude treatment, you're welcome here. Otherwise, don't go.
