The location is wonderful if you want to go for a good walk, but the breakfast was only okay and felt mediocre for the room price. Our first night was horrible because the shower didn’t work, so we couldn’t shower that evening or the next morning. Nobody was reachable by phone, email, or any other way, and there were no emergency options. We were moved to a different room the next day, but weren’t compensated for the first night. The owner didn’t take responsibility and was defensive. She tried to be present the following day while we moved rooms, but still felt no compensation was needed. The service was very poor, with no real hospitality. At 6:30 in the morning, a stinky motor ran loudly beneath our window for half an hour, making the room smell. Then the trash pickup happened right below the window. There’s no air conditioning, so you need to sleep with the window open. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The room was clean and well organised, and the theme was carried through completely. We stayed in “ la cabane du trappeur” and felt like we were in the middle of the woods. The bath beneath the window was magical and romantic. Still, it was hot and stuffy under the roof, with no cooling system. No AC may be better for the planet, but there are other ways to cool a room. We only got two towels, so with long hair I had to choose between drying my hair and drying my hands. They offered one mini bottle of water, but at 245€/ night, I think one bottle per person is the minimum. Breakfast came in a nice basket, delivered to the door between 9 and 9:30, with no choice of time. If you wake at 6:30, you’re left waiting. The orange juice was fresh, but there was no water or milk. There are coffee and tea facilities in the room. It was a nice stay, but overpriced.
